INCOMPAS supports efforts to increase competition for fixed and mobile broadband through the broader use of mid-band and millimeter wave spectrum.
What is INCOMPAS Doing?
We urge Congress to empower the FCC to leverage the nation’s spectrum resources for more licensed and unlicensed broadband use cases, including 5G service. We believe the FCC needs to take immediate action in the 12.2–12.7 GHz proceeding to modernize its rules to permit fixed and mobile 5G service.
Furthermore, we support finalizing a technology-neutral, licensed sharing framework in the 37.0–37.6 GHz band that would immediately make the band available for commercial uses, such as fixed wireless service.
